About the role
Coverage is provided on a day shift basis.
The census is expected to range from 8 to 13 patients per day with an average of 1 to 2 admissions per day.
The hospitalist is responsible for handling rapid response codes and occasional code blues, with a dedicated admitter on staff who handles discharges.
No procedures are required, but procedural skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Handle patient admissions and discharges
- Respond to rapid response codes and occasional code blues
- Manage patient care during hospital stays
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in family medicine or internal medicine
- Experience in hospital medicine is preferred
- Procedural skills are preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
