Schedule

• 24-hour call shifts — 5 to 11 shifts per month
• 7 am – 7 am shift hours with beeper call — 30-minute response time
• 0–6 patients per shift; 0–3 patients seen per 24 hours
• Inpatient call-only coverage — rounding on assigned patients
• Leave coverage

Responsibilities

• Upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy required
• PEG, esophageal dilatation, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube placement required
• Small bowel biopsy and esophageal manometry interpretation required
