About the role
Valdez, AK
4 10-hour shifts per week with 8 am – 6 pm plus night call
4 patients per shift
Critical access hospital with emergency department
Responsibilities
- Emergency Medicine coverage including ER, outpatient/primary care, and OB capabilities
- Handling newborn deliveries in the ED without an L&D department
- Experience with ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications is required
- 20% call back rate
Requirements
- Broad scope practice experience in a rural setting is essential
Qualifications
- Current medical license in good standing
- Completion of EM residency
