Role Overview

The position involves providing emergency department coverage with 24-hour call duties in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include managing 5-8 patient cases daily, handling hospital and ED consults for inpatient and outpatient care, and performing surgical trauma treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs within 20 minutes during on-call shifts
• Provide care without ICU or critical care duties
• Not responsible for responding to codes
• Manage a variety of emergency cases in a hospital environment
• Offer high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to handle trauma surgical cases
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Must meet licensing requirements and be within 20 minutes of the facility while on call
