A temporary locum tenens assignment lasting 13 weeks at an acute-care hospital in Richmond, VA.

Pay

$185 – $220 per hour.

Schedule

• Standard 5-day, 8-hour shifts (07:00 – 07:00)
• Scheduled coverage plus on-call duties required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life
• Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures
• Perform surgical procedures, including hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries (scope of practice dependent)
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions
• Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Residency training in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
• Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA
• Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license
• At least one year of clinical or hospital experience providing obstetric and gynecological care (preferred)
