About the role
This is a locum tenens Obstetrics/Gynecology position at an acute-care hospital. Specific duties may vary based on the facility, patient population, and type of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
- Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Perform surgical procedures such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries (depending on scope of practice).
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
- Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (pediatricians, neonatologists) for optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the ACGME or AOA.
- Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the ABOG or AOA.
- Active and unrestricted Wisconsin medical license.
- At least one year of experience providing obstetric and gynecological care in a clinical or hospital setting (preferred).

- In-depth knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including pregnancy, childbirth, and women’s health conditions.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency in gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for surgical procedures.

Schedule
- 26-week assignment with no call.
- Standard 5-day schedule with 24-hour shifts (07:00 – 07:00).
Pay
$225/hour – $250/hour.
