Schedule and Coverage

  • Shift Coverage: Scheduled + On Call required
  • Shift Schedule: Standard 5 days, 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 05:00)

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
  • Conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries (depending on scope of practice).
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions.
  • Provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as pediatricians and neonatologists, for optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.

  • In-depth knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, including pregnancy, childbirth, and women’s health conditions.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency in performing gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for surgical procedures.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions, often in high-stress environments.
  • Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively.
  • Empathy and compassion for patients during sensitive medical situations.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Oregon.

Experience

  • At least one year of experience providing obstetric and gynecological care in a clinical or hospital setting.

Pay

  • $150/hour - $170/hour
