About the role
We are seeking a Locum OB Hospitalist to provide coverage in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage low and high risk pregnancies
- Perform OB procedures such as vaginal deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, and laceration repairs
- Conduct OB ultrasounds and fetal heart rate (FHR) interpretation
- Support labor and delivery processes
- Perform gynecological surgeries including laparoscopic and open procedures
- Provide care for deliveries and nursery admissions
- Collaborate with onsite staff
Requirements
- Board-certified in Obstetrics
- Active Ohio medical license and DEA certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC)
- Experience with low and high risk pregnancies
- Experience with gynecological surgeries
Schedule
- Weekend shifts (Friday to Monday)
- Average of five GYN surgeries daily
- Support for 1,300 annual deliveries at a Level II nursery
