Locum Interventional Cardiologist

About the role

Inpatient cardiology provider responsible for covering weekday and weekend hospital services, including general and electrophysiology (EP) cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiology care
• Perform TEE, inpatient caths, temp pacemaker insertions, and STEMI/EP procedures
• Handle urgent inpatient and consults on weekends, with a 30‑minute call response time
• Average patient load of 15 patients per shift and 15 patients on call per 24 hours

Schedule

10 days per month, split into two 5‑day stretches or one 10‑day stretch, with 9‑hour shifts plus night call, maintaining a 10/10 call ratio and 50% callback rate.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to perform advanced cardiology procedures
• Respond promptly to calls
• Work effectively in inpatient settings
• Experience in EP and general cardiology services required
