Locum Hematologist/Oncologist

About the role

This outpatient hematologist/oncologist role involves providing specialized cancer and blood disorder treatment in a solo practice with nurse practitioner support. The clinician will manage 6–8 adult patients daily, including up to 4 new consults per week, primarily focusing on medical oncology with some hematology cases.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with administrative duties on Friday afternoons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient medical oncology and hematology care
• Maintain documentation through the Epic EMR system
• Manage patient treatment plans for a caseload of adults in a clinic setting
• No scheduled call, but may involve emergency consultations

Requirements

• Board certification in hematology/oncology
• Prescriptive authority
• Experience in outpatient oncology and hematology
• Strong documentation skills

Support

One nurse practitioner on staff; minimal administrative responsibilities.
