Locum Hematologist/Oncologist

About the role

Provide locum tenens coverage at a community-based cancer center, primarily managing adult patients with a focus on oncology. The position includes outpatient and hospital consults, with preferred experience in bone marrow biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient and hospital consults for oncology patients
• Perform bone marrow biopsies (preferred experience)
• Manage approximately 15 patients per shift
• Document patient care via an online portal
• Provide shared call coverage for nights and weekends

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with 9-hour shifts including a 1-hour lunch break.

Facilities

• 18 chemo infusion chairs
• 2 non-chemo infusion chairs
• Radiation oncology services on-site

Pay

Competitive compensation, including paid malpractice insurance. Travel and housing expenses are pre-paid.
