Locum Gastroenterologist

About the Role

This position involves providing inpatient and outpatient care with a focus on endoscopy procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy. You will respond to a 30-minute call and handle an average of 2-5 consults daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform esophageal dilatation, manometry, and small bowel biopsies
• Manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
• Provide 24-hour call coverage with 2 hours free
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
• Manage patient care in diverse clinical settings
• Complete online time entry
• Maintain communication with a dedicated healthcare consultant

Requirements

• Proven expertise in endoscopy, including esophageal dilatation and manometry
• Strong procedural skills
• Malpractice insurance provided
