• Scheduled shifts plus on-call required
• Standard 7-day, 8-hour shifts (08:15 - 15:30)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients in various inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), echocardiograms, and stress tests
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans for various cardiovascular conditions
• Perform cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (depending on subspecialty)
• Educate and counsel patients on heart disease prevention, risk factors, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (nurses, surgeons, specialists) to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
• Stay current on the latest advancements in cardiology through continuing education

• In-depth knowledge of cardiology principles and practices, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Technical proficiency in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (if applicable)
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing patient conditions

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
• Fellowship training in cardiology (may be preferred depending on the position)
• Board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin
• At least one year of experience providing cardiac care in a clinical setting (preferred)
