Locum Cardiologist

About the role

Seeking a Board-Certified MD for inpatient cardiovascular coverage on a 24-hour call basis. Provide on-site inpatient care, including rounding and consults, managing adult cardiovascular patients. Support staff includes APPs to assist during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiovascular assessments
• Manage patients within established clinical protocols
• Document care accurately in EPIC EMR
• Provide on-site inpatient care, including rounding and consults

Requirements

• Board certification in cardiology
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to work independently on-site with a variable patient load

• Echocardiography (advantageous)
• Stress testing (advantageous)
• EKG interpretation (advantageous)
• Nuclear cardiology (advantageous)
• Transesophageal echocardiography (advantageous)
