Locum Anesthesiologist for OR Coverage

About the role

An anesthesiologist responsible for directing and coordinating anesthesia care in a hospital setting, supporting six operating rooms during day shifts with call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain patient consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring patients' physiological conditions throughout procedures.
• Perform clinical interventions as needed within a supervision model, primarily overseeing a team of 1 MD to 4 CRNA staff.
• Support adult patient population in an on-site hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Board certification in anesthesiology required.
• Experience in managing anesthesia during surgical procedures.

Skills

• Ability to collaborate within a supervising model and communicate effectively with clinical team members.
