Locum Anesthesiologist

Role Overview This position is for an MD providing anesthesia services in outpatient and operating room settings at two community hospitals in Florida. The clinician will work under physician supervision, covering a diverse case load including OB spinals, epidurals, regional blocks, general surgery, and endoscopy, with 5-20 cases daily. Key Responsibilities Deliver anesthesia care across multiple locations, supporting outpatient surgeries and short-stay inpatient procedures.Collaborate with a team including anesthesia technicians and CRNAs within established perioperative workflows.Maintain flexibility to cover both facilities and adjust to scheduled shift times.Provide supervision and support within a physician supervision model, ensuring patient safety and quality care.Handle prescriptive authority and adapt to varied patient populations of all ages. Qualifications & Skills Board certification (negotiable).Ability to work independently under supervision.Experience with a range of anesthesia techniques, including regional blocks and epidurals.Flexibility to cover multiple locations and shifts. Work Environment & Support Support staff includes anesthesia techs and CRNAs, with MD to CRNA ratios of 1-3 or 1-4.On-site, on-location support with a focus on patient safety and efficient workflows.
