About the role

The Locksmith/Carpenter position at U.S. Facilities, Inc. is responsible for the installation, operation, replacement, repair and maintenance of standard and maximum-security locking systems including hardware and correctional locks. This role also involves maintaining and operating the Lock Shop, managing key making processes, responding to service calls, overseeing routine and preventive maintenance programs, and working collaboratively with other trades, maintenance staff, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and use a key making machine, software, key blanks, key cylinders and miscellaneous parts
• Receive and respond to service calls
• Takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns
• Oversee routine and preventive maintenance programs
• Work in cooperation with other trades, maintenance staff and/or contractors, as assigned

Requirements

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent
• Completion of training as a Locksmith
• Familiarity with building systems and knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Ability to make keys and maintain software systems
• Valid vehicle operator’s license
