In contrast to the Laborer position, the Locator’s primary responsibility is to be knowledgeable in operating the locating equipment and accurately locate utilities. What You’ll Do Possesses thorough knowledge of maintenance and operation of locator equipmentAccurately locates and spots all existing utilities & obstructions in work areaMaintains tools and equipmentHand digs holes and trenchesLoads and unloads suppliesPot holes utilitiesFeeds cable in chute during plow procedureSets utility pedestals and hand holesShoots the pneumatic gopherAssists operator digging around utilitiesAssists in maintaining onsite equipmentPerforms ground restorationPerforms general clean upMaintains accurate timecardParticipates in weekly “Tool Box” meetingsAll other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need To be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Physical Abilities & Exposures Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouseOccasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs The wage range for Locator Maple Grove is $23.00 - $28.00.
