Locator Maple Grove

About the role

Under the direction of a foreman, this position is responsible for accurately locating utilities and safely performing any and all labor activities at a job site. In contrast to the Laborer position, the Locator's primary responsibility is to be knowledgeable in operating the locating equipment and accurately locate utilities.

What You'll Do

• Possesses thorough knowledge of maintenance and operation of locator equipment
• Accurately locates and spots all existing utilities & obstructions in work area
• Maintains tools and equipment
• Hand digs holes and trenches
• Loads and unloads supplies
• Pot holes utilities
• Feeds cable in chute during plow procedure
• Sets utility pedestals and hand holes
• Shoots the pneumatic gopher
• Assists operator digging around utilities
• Assists in maintaining onsite equipment
• Performs ground restoration
• Performs general clean up
• Maintains accurate timecard
• Participates in weekly "Tool Box" meetings
• All other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs

Pay

The wage range for Locator Maple Grove is $23.00 - $28.00.
