About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver based in Nashville, TN, operating local home‑daily routes delivering auto parts to TN, KY, IN, MS, AL, AR. You will drive a well‑maintained day‑cab automatic tractor with a 53' dry van, receive paid training, and enjoy weekly pay with guaranteed earnings and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements.
• Have verifiable Class A tractor‑trailer experience: either 9 months within the past 3 years, 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Pay

• Weekly guarantee: $1,355 per week.
• Shutdown bonus: $2,000 paid within the first year.
• Safety bonus: $250 paid four times per year (quarterly).
• Paid training provided.

Schedule

• Work schedule: Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday.
• Start time: AM or PM, based on route bid.
• Local home‑daily routes.
