Local Sales Representative - West
About the role
We are seeking part-time sales representatives with existing relationships in the commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in roles such as commercial construction, project management, or related fields. You should also have a network you can activate without starting from zero, an understanding of construction project phases and closeout processes, and credibility when meeting with project executives or facilities directors.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities with general contractors and building owners in your market.
- Develop relationships with project executives, project managers, owner's representatives, facilities directors, and capital project managers.
- Qualify opportunities based on project size, timeline, and fit.
- Set up initial meetings and facilitate introductions between prospects and the BuildingWorks team.
- Support the sales process through contract signing.
- Track active and upcoming construction projects in your market.
Requirements

Existing relationships with general contractors, building owners, owner's representatives, or facilities teams are essential.

Benefits
This is a commission-only position with no base salary or benefits. You will earn a percentage of contract value on projects you originate. Typical contract values range from $15,000 to $40,000+, with larger healthcare and institutional projects commanding higher fees.

Schedule
This is designed as a part-time role. Most successful reps spend 5-10 hours per week on BuildingWorks activities, focused on outreach, meetings, and relationship building. There are no minimum activity requirements, but your earnings will reflect your effort.
