Local Rotational Security Officer - Maniilaq Clinics ($30/hr, On Call, 1 Week On/1 Week Off) - Noatak, AK

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas, including visually, electronically, or audibly.
• Ensures safety and compliance among own actions and those of others.
• Verbalizes de-escalation techniques to maintain safety.
• Examines and secures doors, windows, and other areas.
• Reports and records data related to property damage, unusual occurrences, etc.
• Aids in event setup, moving furniture, and preparing the clinic.
• Warns and apprehends violators of rules.
• Notifies individuals of visitors.
• Assists in emergency response and disaster management.
• Performs routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
• Issues and records ID badges.
• Checks and ensures operational status of heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems.
• Notifies supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Pass State of Alaska background check and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97.00.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Capable of making decisions independently.
• Ability to work on-call and outside of normal business hours.
• Speaks, understands, reads, and writes English.
• Safety-oriented and adheres to all safety guidelines and regulations.
