Local/Regional Class A Driver

About the Role

Clean Harbors is looking for a Local/Regional Class A Dry Van Driver to join their safety conscious team in Chattanooga, TN. The position involves local regional routes with weekly home time (twice per week including weekends) running between Chattanooga and Greenbrier, TN; Royston, GA; Tucker, GA; Lexington, SC; and Reidsville, NC. Pay is hourly.

Pay

• Drivers average $80,000–$110,000 per year
• $7,500 sign-on bonus available
• Hourly wages for all on-duty non-driving time plus mileage pay
• Per diem daily for overnight trips

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operate tractor-trailer units and other vehicles
• Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of the units
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste; properly secure loads
• Placard vehicle in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports

Qualifications

• Class A CDL
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
