Local Parent Engagement Ambassadors

Salary: £15.00 per hour + agreed commission bonus

Hours: Part time 3-10 hours per week – Immediate start wanted.

Reports to: Youth Engagement Team

Location: Home-based, local working within target region (Barnet, Brighton, Birmingham, Bushey, Edgware, Essex, Kingston/Wimbledon, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Mill hill, Nottingham, Redbridge, Shenley/Radlett, Southend, St Albans)

Through a diverse range of experiences and activities JLGB seeks to enrich the lives of young people through its local, regional and national framework. JLGB removes barriers to participation by providing positive activities within a fun, friendly, safe and structured environment, that meet the religious and cultural needs of the Jewish community.

Responsibilities

• Telephoning parents of potential new members
• Following up with parents of potential new JLGB members as they start to join
• Identifying, and targeting new families and community stakeholders to engage with
• SUPPORTING the recruitment of volunteers to lead and run our weekly local groups
• Positively promoting the local work of JLGB
• Recording results online through the JLGB Customer Relations Management system
• Sharing key posts on all social media platforms across community, school and related groups

Requirements

• Confidence and clarity in telephone communication
• Good computer skills including online database management and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge and awareness of local Jewish community
• Driven by targets and results with a focus on achieving maximum numbers for the local JLGB group
• A strong network of local parents, teacher and community leaders
• Knowledge and understanding of local JLGB activities
• Experience of working with or in youth organisations

Qualifications

All roles at JLGB are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check, either a current or new application that can be made through JLGB.
