About the role
The Local Driver CDL A position at Kenco Logistics involves the safe and timely transport and delivery of general commodities between warehouses and scheduled destinations. This role requires the possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and operates a diesel tractor/trailer.
Responsibilities
- Operates company equipment to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Pre-plans trips and communicates any delays to relevant team members.
- Maintains driver’s daily logs and other required documents.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all company equipment.
- Immediately reports all instances of damaged product or delivery issues to the supervisor.
- Provides White Glove service at every pickup and delivery, ensuring product handling from receipt to delivery.
- Maintains equipment cleanliness and ensures all dunnage is securely fastened before entering public roads.
- Reports all incidents involving damage to the product or delivery issues to the supervisor.
- Ensures all assigned tools and equipment are maintained and accounted for.
- Adheres to professional conduct and maintains courteous behavior towards other drivers on the road.
- Complies with DOT and OSHA regulations and state laws.
- Performs any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of tractor trailer driving within the past 7 years.
- Meets FMCSA and company requirements.
- Passes background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Travel Requirements
This position is expected to travel approximately 75% or greater.
