Local Delivery Driver (CDL w/Hazmat)

About the role
As an Ambassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit. Responsibilities
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements (HAZMAT is required).
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
- No driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment.
- Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience.
- 1 year of CDL experience.

Pay
$25.00 to $27.00 per hour
