Local Delivery Driver - CDL A

Pay: $30.95 / hour

About the role

This position will deliver to all types of customers including Foodservice. The driver delivers product to stores, rotates and stocks product on shelves, displays, coolers, and vending equipment. Responsibilities include building small displays, setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners, generating invoices, and handling daily settlement of cash and charges. Frequent interaction with store management and receiving personnel is required.

Physical demands include lifting and loading cases ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly, pushing/pulling 40-150 pounds of force, reaching, squatting, and bending. Unloading pallets of product from the delivery vehicle using an electronic pallet jack or 2-wheel hand truck is also required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
  Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

Skills

Helpful Experience:

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Adhering to all DOT regulations (e.g., reading and comprehending documentation, maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, rotating product, cleaning shelves, eliminating out-of-stocks and out-of-date products)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (e.g., operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, load bars, and straps)
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
• Documenting DOT regulations (e.g., reading and comprehending documentation, maintaining current documentation such as medical cards)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Additional Information
