Local Delivery Driver - CDL A

About the role

This position involves delivering to various customers including foodservice establishments. The driver is responsible for stocking shelves, setting up displays, and generating invoices. They interact frequently with store management and receiving personnel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Mercandise all accounts to local standards
• Build small displays and set up promotional materials
• Generate invoice and settle cash and charges daily
• Interact with store management and store receiving personnel for acceptance of load as required
• Lift and load cases ranging from 20-45 pounds repeatedly
• Push/pull using from 40 - 150 pounds of force, occasionally
• Reach, squat, and bend while delivering and merchandising products
• Unload pallets of product from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2 wheel hand truck
• Put the product in a designated area in the stores' backroom

Requirements

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)

Qualifications

• Positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account
• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license
• Adhering to all DOT regulations
• Merchandising products
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
• Documenting DOT regulations
• Effective communication skills in English
