About the role
As an Ambassador for Airgas, the Service & Delivery Professional takes pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to our local and regional business partners. Operating from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck, you will manage the flow of cylinders while building lasting relationships with the customers you visit. Responsibilities
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt.
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.
- Routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat Endorsement (or willing to obtain).
- One (1) year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years. In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school.
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.

Pay
Starting pay range is $32 - $34/hr.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, Day Shift.
