Local Delivery Driver

Essential Job Duties

• Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner avoiding traffic violations and accidents.
• Physically loads Company vehicle at the branch.
• Follows best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck/car.
• Drives to the delivery destination and physically unloads the vehicle, verifies the parts that are unloaded, obtains signature of the receiving location confirming the parts shown on the order were received and sign off on order.
• Meets delivery deadlines.
• Researches and plans for traffic, construction, and weather delays.
• Always stays alert and oriented in case unexpected hazards are found on the road or to avoid any accidents.
• Must have knowledge of working a GPS and a tablet for signing off on orders.
• Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch.
• Always interacts with customers and co-workers professionally.
• Ensures that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
• Notifies manager of any vehicle repairs needed in a timely manner.
• Complies with established driver policies and procedures.
• Assumes other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
