About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in Bakersfield, California.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech language pathology services under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assess and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document patient progress and communicate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current California State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with adult populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Passing score on the National Board for Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (NBCSP).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in computer software for documentation and record-keeping.
