About the Role

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K–8 students in New York, NY. Collaborate closely with educators and families while making a lasting difference in students' academic and everyday communication. This is a local contract position.

Position Overview

  • Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs through formal and informal evaluations and ongoing classroom-based observation.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy and individualized interventions based on each student's assessed needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, progress reports, and other documentation while maintaining accurate service and attendance records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress, coordinate services, and promote communication skills across the school environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
  • Valid TSSLD and/or TSHH Certification
  • Current NPI number required; school-based experience strongly preferred
