About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week duration at 36 hours per week, working 12-hour shifts, days shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Administer treatments such as nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Assess patient needs and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Iowa.
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS).
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
