Local Contract Physical Therapist - $35-45 per hour

Local contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist in Brooklyn, New York. Position is onsite at a pediatric clinic serving school-aged students.

About the role

Physical Therapists will support children in improving strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and gross motor development. Develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to help children achieve greater functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic exercises to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and gross motor skills.
• Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support functional and developmental goals.

Schedule

• Shift: Monday–Friday, Sundays ongoing
• Hours per week: 20-30 hours
• Contract length: Ongoing
• Shift duration: 8 hours per day

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active New York Physical Therapist license and registration
• NYC DOE fingerprints

• Strong communication and collaboration with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Pay

Hourly rate: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
