Local Contract Operating Room RN - $49-58 per hour
About the role
A local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room is needed for a 13-week duration working 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, and call every other weekend. The position requires a variety of experience, including scrubbing and circulating.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures under the supervision of anesthesiologists and surgeons
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery and ensure proper sterilization techniques are used
- Monitor patients during surgery and report any changes in condition to the surgeon
- Manage anesthesia equipment and medications as directed by the anesthesiologist
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the OR
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in the OR setting preferred, but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
Qualifications
- Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
