Local Contract Oncology Registered Nurse - $38-45 per hour
About the role
A hospital in the Kansas City area is in need of an Oncology RN to work a 13 week travel assignment.
The nurse will be working 8 hour days and must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. RN should have radiation oncology experience, BLS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification, will be working with 2 EMR systems- ARIA and Cerner. Must have KS RN or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with medical orders and nursing standards.
- Assess patients’ needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Kansas or compact state.
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
- BLS certification.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification.
- Experience with ARIA and Cerner EMR systems.
