About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP at a hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in an acute care setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient care activities and progress in accordance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Current license to practice occupational therapy in Illinois
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of one year of recent relevant work experience
- Experience working in an acute care setting preferred
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of occupational therapy principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passing scores on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam
Skills
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR)
- Skilled in patient education and counseling
- Knowledgeable in adaptive equipment and assistive technology

Pay
The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
Shifts are 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
