Local Contract Occupational Therapist - $60 per hour

About the role

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a position in Madison Heights, Michigan (48071). The role is an onsite, school-based occupational therapist providing services to students, supporting fine motor development, sensory integration, self-care, and academic readiness. Immediate start preferred, with a contract duration of up to 13 weeks (or full school year) and hours ranging from 35‑37.5 per week (approximately 40 hours/week, 8‑hour shifts). Preference given to full‑time availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations for referred students and provide recommendations for services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and IEP goals for students receiving occupational therapy services.
• Provide individual and small-group occupational therapy interventions focused on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, social-emotional readiness, and academic participation.
• Collaborate with Child Study Team members, educators, administrators, and families to support student success and compliance with special education requirements.
