JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations using standardized and functional assessments to determine eligibility and need for occupational therapy services.
  • Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives in collaboration with the IEP team.
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs.
  • Develop Response to Intervention (RTI) plans and provide services as outlined in plans.
  • Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory regulation, visual-motor integration, self-care, and organizational skills.
  • Adept and modify the learning environment and educational materials to support student access and participation.
  • Provide training, resources, and consultation to teachers, paraprofessionals, and families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including evaluation reports, progress notes, service logs, and Medicaid billing records (if applicable).
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and other collaborative planning efforts.
  • Provide supervision for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education and therapy services.
  • Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and professional licensure requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Designee.

Hours per week: 37.75 hours per week
Contract length: School Year

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New Hampshire.
  • Experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and relevant educational laws and procedures.
