Local contract opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in Brooklyn, New York. Position starts on 08/17/2026 for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and an 8-hour shift.

About the role

Occupational therapists are needed at a pediatric clinic in Brooklyn, New York. This onsite role supports school-aged students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, self-care, and overall functional independence.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate pediatric patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapy targeting fine motor, sensory processing, coordination, and self-care skills.
  • Document treatment sessions, monitor progress, and adjust interventions based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to support developmental and functional goals.

Schedule / Shift: Monday–Friday, Sundays ongoing. 20-30 hours per week on an ongoing contract basis.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active New York Occupational Therapist license and registration.
  • NYC DOE fingerprints.

Skills

  • Pediatric occupational therapy and developmental assessment.
  • Sensory integration and fine motor intervention.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Pay
