Local Contract Occupational Therapist - $35-39 per hour

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a position in Cranston, Rhode Island. Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide medically necessary services to the incarcerated population for approximately 35–40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Apply the appropriate interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) while in a correctional setting
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit individualized needs, with consideration for the correctional environment
• Assign and monitor work performed by the COTA
• Work collaboratively with medical staff, and provide training when necessary

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current and valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the ***
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a public or private hospital, or correctional setting

Schedule

• Hours per week: 36
• Shift: 12 hours, days
• Duration: 26 weeks (at least 6 months from projected start date)
• Start Date: ASAP
