Responsibilities
Provide patient care in a Stepdown/Med Surg unit with beds, following unit protocols and patient needs.
Titrating set rate drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone as required.
Monitor and respond to patient respiratory issues, manage common diagnoses such as UTI, AKI, chest pain, and weakness.
Collaborate with the healthcare team, including house supervisors and charge nurses, to ensure quality patient care.
Utilize RT and monitoring equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and monitor patient strips at Ruby.
Maintain documentation and communicate patient status clearly and accurately.
Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code (Royal blue) and orientation requirements.
