Local Contract Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $50-52 per hour

Local contract RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit position in Sumter, South Carolina.

About the role

13-week local contract in a hospital setting. 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30). Open to both local candidates and travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Intermediate Care (IMC) unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms.
• Perform IV starts, port access, PICC line care, and blood product administration.
• Manage respiratory therapies including trach care, oxygen delivery, chest tube management, ABG interpretation, and non-invasive ventilatory support.
• Deliver GI care such as feeding tube management.
• Administer medications including PCA, procedural sedation, heparin protocols, and vasoactive drips.
• Assess and manage post-MI patients, cardiac catheterizations, arrhythmias, and continuous telemetry monitoring.
• Implement wound care, isolation precautions, renal failure management, and rapid response team protocols.

$49.67 – $52.15 per hour.
