About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room under the supervision of an experienced surgeon.
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care.
- Prepare operating rooms for procedures and ensure proper sterilization techniques are followed.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in the Operating Room preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Completion of an approved Basic Life Support (BLS) course.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating room equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
