Local Contract Nurse RN - Occupational Health - $50-56 per hour

Local contract nursing position in Fairfield, California for an Occupational Health RN. Start date: 09/07/2026, duration: 8 weeks, 24 hours per week, day shift (8 hours).

About the Role

Employee Health Support RN providing care and management of employee health. Primary focus includes support of Employee Health clinics such as Flu and Respiratory Fit Testing. Hours are typically between 0800 and 1700, but can start as early as 0400. Two positions available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and management of employee health, focusing on Employee Health clinics including Flu and Respiratory Fit Testing.
• Provide backup support to Employee Health RN Coordinators for new hires medical clearance review, work injuries, exposures, return-to-work, fitness for duty, organizational requirements, and wellness initiatives.
• Support other Employee Health activities or clinic initiatives.
• Promote health services to employees that meet established medical standards, OSHA regulations, and organizational policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and assigned committees or projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BSN required; graduated from an accredited nursing school or college.
• California RN license in good standing throughout employment.
• AHA or equivalent BLS certification required.
• Three years of professional-level experience in clinical nursing.
• One year of Employee and Occupational Health nursing preferred.
• One year of case management experience preferred.
• Certification in Occupational Health nursing preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation regulations and claims experience strongly preferred.
• Clinical skills including injections.
• Ability to run specific clinics and document results in computer systems (OJT training provided for specified software).
