Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $70-75 per hour

About the role

Talent4Health is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Bakersfield, California.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Assist physicians during deliveries and manage postpartum care.
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Cerner EMR.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education related to labor and delivery care.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge/experience with Cerner EMR.
• Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse License (RN License).
• Advanced NRP.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitor (FHM).
• AWHONN Maternal Fetal Triage Index (MFTI).
• Possess and maintain current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: 1. Basic Life Support (BLS) card. 2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) card.
• Maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of advanced theory, techniques and practices of nursing.
• Medical terminology, instruments and equipment.
• The uses and effects of medicines and narcotics.

Benefits

Employees must maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center. Depending on assignment incumbents may be required to possess and maintain specific certificates of competency as a condition of employment.

Pay

$18.50 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

36 hours per week, 12 hours shifts, days, nights
