Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $70-72 per hour

About the Role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery for a position in Brigham City, Utah.

This is a 13-week local contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week, working 12-hour night shifts (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM) on a 3 x 12-hour schedule.

Unit Information

• Unit: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum
• Number of Beds: 8
• Number of Staff: 19
• Shift Details: 3 shifts one week and 2 the next (0500-1700 for traveler)
• Staffing Breakdown:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 1 RN
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 1 RN
• Patient Ratios:
  • 2:1 for Labor patients
  • 4:1 for Couplets (mother/baby)
• Equipment: Fetal monitors
• EMR: Meditech, CPN
• On Call Requirements: 1 call shift per week (potential for 2 calls on weeks with only 2 shifts)
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Perform deliveries and recovery care
• Conduct newborn testing (CCHD, Newborn Metabolic Screening, Bilirubin, Hearing Screening)

Requirements

• Must-Have Skills (non-negotiable):
  • Labor and Delivery experience
  • Nursery experience
• Preferred Skills (prioritized):
  • C-Section experience
• Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • STABLE
  • CEFM or AWHONN fetal monitoring
• Floating: Occasionally as a sitter in ED or Med/Surg
