About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Alton, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit setting
- Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit preferred
- Knowledge of critical care nursing practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights
- Passing score on the NCLEX-RN exam
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Completion of required clinical rotations
- Current BLS certification

Pay
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with a start date of August 3, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks.
