Local Class A CDL - Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual with strong people skills and a desire for growth. This role involves working directly with customers, taking pride in your work, and problem-solving independently in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to grow with our business and work directly with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to transport needed equipment to and from customer locations with a commercial truck
• Drive vehicles to deliver and pick up forklifts/aerial lifts as needed
• Stock and assist with moving of forklifts and equipment
• Maintain tools, equipment, and delivery truck in efficient operating condition; keep clean (inside and out)
• Unload and load forklifts and related items from the truck as required
• Lift a minimum of fifty-five (55) pounds
• Maintain and follow written documents as instructed
• Locate customer locations and use GPS to navigate
• Operate forklifts
• Follow all safety and OSHA requirements while at customer facilities or at company locations

Skills Required

• Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
• Load and unload cargo/forklifts
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trips
• Perform repeated and repetitive movements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must meet and maintain C&C Lift Truck's qualifications for Commercial Drivers
• Commercial driver's license
• OSHA certified in forklift safety is a plus
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic
• Exceptional driving record

Pay

Rate is negotiable depending on experience. This is a union position.

Schedule

7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. shop hours
