Local CDL Truck Driver
About the role
This position involves safely and efficiently transporting products via tractor trailer to various customers, ensuring proper delivery, unloading, and compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Unloading products manually or with equipment, following customer specifications and safety standards.
- Completing accurate paperwork, including logs, inspections, invoices, and reports.
- Maintaining food safety and sanitary conditions during transportation and delivery.
- Building positive customer relationships through courteous service and clear communication.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; tractor trailer driving experience preferred or completion of a driving school. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and insurability required. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting, and delivery practices. Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, communication, and organization. Ability to operate large vehicles, handle hazardous materials, and perform basic math.
Physical & Environmental Demands: Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling heavy loads, climbing in/out of trucks, and working in varying weather conditions. The environment may include exposure to cold, heat, humidity, noise, and confined spaces.
