Local CDL Route Driver

About the role

As a CDL Route Driver, you will collect and load waste, then transport it in a rear load truck to a landfill and/or transfer station. This is a local Monday–Friday route with a start time of 6:00 AM, running until the route is complete (typically 10–11 hour days).

Responsibilities

• Collect and load waste
• Transport waste to landfill and/or transfer station
• Maintain exceptional customer service
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues
• Complete daily assignments and reports

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws
• Ability to work 40–50 hours per week
• Willingness to submit to and pass background check, pre-employment drug screening, and eligible motor vehicle report
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports

Physical Demands

• Ability to function in various environments and withstand exposure to all weather conditions (rain, heat, sun, cold)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move/maneuver up to 100 pounds
• Ability to mount and dismount the truck multiple times daily while on route

Pay

Starting pay: $36.59/hour, increasing to $37.87/hour after a 90-day positive review.
